<p>Crunches: Lie on your back with your knees bent 90 and feet off the ground.  Your hands are just touching the back or side of your head so you not put any strain on your neck by pulling.  Then begin the movement by lifting your head and chest up and a little forward.  Try not to jam your neck into you chest.  Raising your legs will increase the intensity of the exercise.</p>

<p>Twisting Crunches:  Same form as the normal crunch but each rep you bring your elbow to your opposite knee.  Try to make each crunch really count by bringing your elbow to the outside of your opposite knee.</p>

<p>Leg Lifts: Laying on your back, put your hands underneath your butt giving your lower back support.  Then keeping both legs straight and together, bring your legs up to 90 degrees and back down slowly.  You can do these exercises on an incline bench to allow for a wider range of resistance.  </p>

<p>Side Leg Lifts: This is the same as the leg lifts described above, but this time you are going to lower your legs to either side.  Then bring them all the way up to 90 degrees and slowly reverse down to the other side.</p>

<p>Leg lifts:  With slow controlled movements using muscles and not momentum, elevate your legs all the way above your head touching your feet to the bar above you and lower slowly. Alternating sets with a windmill motion starting from the right side, and then wind milling all the way up and over to the left side.</p>

<p>Knee Lifts:  If the leg lifts mentioned before are exceedingly difficult or you’re on your third set, then you can always do knee lifts.  It’s the same identical movement but requiring you to lift less weight from your legs.</p>

<p>Twisting Knee Lifts:  Start by hanging from a pull up bar, then while raising your knees up twist to either side and switch after each rep.</p>

Start by gazing at something and focus on it as you lay in bed. As you let your eyes drift shut, you will discover that you can still see the thing that you are focusing on.</p>
<p> * You will then need to deepen the state of mind you&#8217;re in once you reach the point where you can see the object even when your eyes are closed. At this point it may be possible to see different light patterns and you may even notice that the room appears to be immersed in a purplish light. There is no need for you to pay any attention to the purplish light or the light patterns, but instead, you&#8217;ll know you&#8217;ve entered a deeper state once you stop seeing the lights. Furthermore, once you reach this point you&#8217;ll be so relaxed, you won&#8217;t even be aware of your physical body anymore.</p>
<p> * This step is absolutely imperative with the Monroe technique. The state of vibration will need to be entered into. Many report feeling these types of vibration fairly early in the projection process. Is thought by the participant that the feeling of vibration is what happens when the astral body start to depart from the physical body. Don&#8217;t let this stage worry you, relax and feel the vibrations.</p>
<p> * Controlling your state of vibration. You can control the vibrations in such a way that they move through your body. By using your mind you can direct these vibrations so that you can feel them all over as if there were waves washing over you. However, it will require a certain amount of practice before you are able to bring on these waves at will. Once you can create these ways at will, you&#8217;re ready to leave your body.</p>
<p> * The secret to astral travel and projection is for you to be in control with your mind. Monroe suggest that to strengthen this practice at this point a partial separation. Remaining focused mentally on the thought of exiting the physical body, 1st have a foot or maybe a hand go as fast as the astral body. Stretch either to an item that is close to you, as in maybe the floor, a wall, or any other item that is familiar, now place you foot or hand completely through this item. Now you need to bring the hand or foot back again to the physical body, calm down and stop the vibrations and bring session to a close. Keep laying on the bed until you have become to an awakened state completely.</p>
<p> * This last step is where you actually get to leave your physical body. Once again, you can follow all the previous steps but now, rather than only allowing a hand or foot to leave from the physical body, you&#8217;re going to allow complete separation.
